Who is Tony Price?I'm an Auckland-based freelance marketing contractor specialising in online communications with years of experience in managing sales, marketing and communication strategies.
I understand basic SEO (Search Engine Optimistation), which isn't half as complicated as some website designers would have you believe, and I can easily set you up a standard Google AdWords account to help drive visitors to your site and improve rankings. Best of all: You don't have to hire me as a full time employee. As a casual contractor I'll simply swing by your business when you need me or just manage everything remotely if you prefer. I don't require a long-term contract so you only pay for what you need. This means that for a reasonable hourly rate you're getting quality, experienced marketing and copy writing for relevant customer communications at an affordable cost. |
What can I do for you?In today's electronic world a website is the most vital way that your business will be found by new customers. It doesn't have to cost a fortune, but if you don't have one you may as well not exist.
I can build you a low-cost, quality website with content that not only clearly and positively promotes your business but will be found when someone searches for your product or service online. I can also help you keep in touch with your existing customers by helping you to send them a regular email newsletter (all you need is a list of their email addresses) to ensure they don't get lured away with 'promises' from any of your competitors. And I can help you decide if using social media (Facebook) is the right thing for your business - or not. Not every business needs to be on Facebook but if you are you need to post regularly, and keep posts lively and interesting or you may drive people away. |

How affordable is this?
BASIC WEBSITE DESIGN: $399. A quality, modern website (like this one) set up with two or three pages of content only, hosted for free online (using website builder Weebly) with your own domain name* (subject to availability) if you own one. No extra charges for a blog or a slideshow and you can have a google map included, a contact form, e-newsletter signup (and archive) and social media sharing buttons for free. Basic SEO (search engine optimisation) is also included and Google Analytics can be set up if required. Not included: Images for the website will either be royalty-free, supplied by yourself or at an extra cost. *Registration of a new (.co.nz) domain name only costs around $25 per year if you do not already own one. Google Adwords pay per click advertising charges, which will help drive people to your website and can be relatively low-cost (industry dependent), are not included.
BASIC E-NEWSLETTER: $299. An email newsletter template created and hosted online (using MailChimp) with your supplied list of email addresses loaded into the account and your first e-newsletter written and delivered. Your MailChimp e-newsletter account will allow you to send up to 12,000 emails per month to up to 2000 email addresses for free. Not included: MailChimp charge extra once these limits are exceeded. Images will either be royalty-free, supplied by yourself or at an extra cost.
WEBSITE UPDATES, E-NEWSLETTER CONTENT, BLOG CONTENT, COPY WRITING - HOURLY RATE: Only $39.
Once your new website or e-newsletter account is set up I will leave you with clear and simple instructions for 'How to self-manage' these tools. Or, if you would like me to continue writing monthly e-newsletters, or draft a blog (a news update), or post something lively on your Facebook page I will simply charge you an hourly rate. That's going to work out a whole lot cheaper than hiring a full-time employee and I won't muck you about or waste time. And, depending on how things work out, I am open to contracting at a set-rate for ongoing regular work and can also help out with drafting content for sales collateral (brochures, flyers, presentations) and any other general marketing.

Achilles New Zealand use the blog function for 'News Updates' and we send out a Monthly Memo via MailChimp. Try Googling 'disabled runners nz' and they will come up first ranked for NZ websites. All content written, edited or created by Tony Price.

When you have lots of competition you need to be specific about what you do and where you do it. People search in Google for 'Baby Feet Casting' so we used key words to ensure this regional venture was easily found. Search 'baby feet auckland' and they'll be there.

I recently upgraded this website to better present recent enhancements to the actual payroll system - and saved Crystal Payroll about $900 per year. I also keep their Facebook alive and write their monthly Crystal News email. Try searching 'online payroll nz' to find them.
